Cons: The burden of protecting your copyright is born by you.

Russian Multimedia and Internet Society (ROMS)
The second method relies on services provided by the partnership for collective copyright and allied rights management.
This means that the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society (ROMS) assume responsibility for protecting your rights. As part of the above the will regularly report to and provide payments even if you choose not to sign a formal contract with ROMS.
Pursuant to the standing law of the Russian Federation, Russian websites that provide download and broadcasting services in interactive digital networks including the Internet may conclude license agreements with ROMS whose licensees include many major Russian music portals.
As soon as the burden of copyright protection is transferred to ROMS you no longer have to worry about it. The partnership takes care of collecting royalties and their distribution among the authors and rights holders. ROMS provides standard statistics of your works downloads via the Internet and the associated royalties.
Despite the advantages above, there is a downside too since a fraction of the collected royalty remains with the partnership as commission for its services.
